Aliya Goldan

At Smythe, Aliya primarily provides tax services to privately held businesses and individuals with a focus on estates and trusts. She has participated in multiple speaking engagements including 2 Canadian Tax Foundation conferences and the Fraser Valley Chartered Accounting Association. Her published articles include “Corporate Attribution in the Context of an Estate Freeze: Watch Out for the Trap” and “Subsection 55(2)” that was co-authored for the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Aliya obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and her CPA designation in 2011. She rejoined Smythe in 2016 after spending two years in the tax group of a mid-sized national firm.

When not working, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
